U.P.R.R. Road Closures

Union Pacific Railroad will be doing track maintenance in Pinal County Right-of-Way via permit which will require full closures of some County roadways:

Bella Vista Road – May 1st and May 2nd

Arizona Farms Road - May 6th and May 7th

Martin Road - May 20th and May 21st

Please allow for extra travel time, see enclosed maps for detours in and around planned work areas.

Ocotillo Road Project - Ironwood Dr to Kenworthy Rd
UPDATE:  Temporary closure at Ocotillo Road from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for roadway construction on May 15th.  Residents are asked to use Kenworthy Road as an alternate route during hours of construction.  Detour signage will be provided.  Please drive with caution.
 
Roadway rehabilitation project will begin on Ocotillo Road between Ironwood Drive and Kenworthy Road on March 18th. Work on the existing 3-lane road is expected to last through the end of July 2019. Project will include lane restrictions and speed reductions.  Please use caution while driving through the work zone and plan for extra drive time due to expected traffic delays.
 
 
Pavement Preservation - Chip Seal Work on Park Link Drive

In the first week of May Park Link Drive from Owl Head Road to Suizo Road will be chip sealed.  Work will include a flagging operation/pilot vehicle.  Follow up work for stripping will carry over to the following week in addition to more chip seal work extended from Suizo Road to SR 79. Please drive with caution and plan for extra drive time due to possible delays.

 
Hunt Highway Utility Work
Utility work on Hunt Highway from Johnson Ranch Boulevard to Arizona Farm Road will start May 14th.  Work is expected to take one week to complete and will include a speed reduction.  There will be a lane closure for southbound travel from Johnson Ranch Boulevard to Magma Road and shoulder work from Magma Road to Arizona Farms Road.  Please drive with caution.
 
Closure on Sage Brush Ave Due to Culvert Crossing
Sage Brush Road is scheduled to be closed at Schnepf Road starting May 13th and will last through most of the following week.  Work includes a culvert crossing in preparation for a road improvement in July.  A detour will be provided using roads from the east.
 

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Roadwork Outside County Limits


Combs Road
Eastbound and westbound lane closures between Meridian Road and Warrior Way for pavement striping work.  December 7th - 30th: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Information from Town of Queen Creek


Riggs Road to be Completed by Town of Queen Creek and Maricopa County Department of Transportation
The Town of Queen Creek is working in partnership with MCDOT to complete Riggs Road from Ellsworth Road to Meridian Road.  The new, two-lane roadway will serve as a major access point for the south east portion of Town, and will help improve transportation throughout Queen Creek.
